How many different courses do you currently offer?

We currently offer six different courses:

Clinical Research: Getting Started! is aimed at those new to the field of clinical research as well as those who have gained experience in the field but who would like to refresh their knowledge and skills and pick up tips and tools to enhance their practice.

Developing Yourself in Clinical Research is aimed at more experienced research nurses and practitioners who would like to grow and develop professionally in the field of clinical research.

Informed Consent provides a practical overview of the process and requirements for seeking informed consent to undertake research particularly within the NHS.

Applying for Ethical Opinion in the NHS is aimed at improving knowledge and understanding of what is needed to prepare an application and then to progress it successfully through the NHS ethical review process to gain a favourable ethical opinion.

Meeting the Challenges of Recruitment and Retention in Clinical Research focuses on recruiting and retaining participants, what motivates participation, strategies for promotion, making your systems and relationships the focus of successful recruitment, and who can you engage to help you raise awareness of research and reach your targets.

Lab Skills for Clinical Research Staff is run by Imperial College Academic Health Science Centre and is aimed at clinical research team members who want to learn about the basics of sample handling, processing and storing, safety issues, risk assessments, and associated documentation needed to support work in sample preparation / lab areas, with delegates performing different techniques during selected lab visits.

We have also hosted five national conferences: Building Careers in Clinical Research.

Where are your courses held?

Our current main venue is in central London, at the National Council for Voluntary Organisations, which backs on to Regent’s Canal and is a few minutes walk from Kings Cross St Pancras (and the following underground lines: Northern, Victoria, Piccadilly, Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan).

How do I register and book a place on one of your courses?

Registering and booking a place on one of our courses, and receiving a course entry ticket, is all done online at www.clinfield.com using our secure (McAfee® Secure) and easy to use event registration software. Likewise, online payment for our courses is secure, simple and easy.

How do I pay for one of your courses?

Online payment using our secure (McAfee® Secure) and easy to use online payments software is by far the simplest way of making payment for a course, and is fully integrated with our online registration, terms and conditions, booking, and course entry ticketing software. (If you are unable to make payment using our online system, instead we can send you an invoice including an added 5% administration fee of the full (non-discounted) course fee and such invoice must be paid in cleared funds 7 business days in advance of the date of the course; please email any payment queries to payments@clinfield.com or call us on 0800 988 7979.)

Do you offer your courses in a specific location in response to a specific request?

Yes, if there is sufficient demand and provision of a suitable venue, we are happy to travel to the location of an organisation which has requested us to give one of our courses to a group.
